Cookie Policy

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise your device on a later visit. Related technologies like local storage, session storage and tracking pixels do much the same job. They are useful for things like keeping you logged in, and they are also the main way advertising companies build a picture of what you look at online.

What this website uses

Nothing that requires your consent. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, a website must ask permission before storing anything on your device that is not strictly necessary. We store nothing, so there is nothing to ask about, which is why you will not see a consent banner here.

You are welcome to check this for yourself. In most browsers, press F12, open the Application or Storage tab and look under Cookies. You will find the list empty.

Third-party services the site loads

Although none of these place cookies on your device when you browse the site, they do involve another company, and some of them receive your IP address simply because your browser has to connect to them. We would rather set that out than leave it unsaid.

The admin area

There is a private page at /admin that we use to manage enquiries. Logging in there stores a session token in the browser so the login persists between pages. That is strictly necessary for the login to work, and it applies only to us, not to visitors or customers.

Controlling cookies yourself

There is nothing to switch off here, but every browser lets you block or delete cookies for any site you visit. The settings are usually under Privacy or Site Settings. aboutcookies.org explains how, browser by browser.

If this changes

If we ever add analytics or another service that needs cookies, we will update this page and put a proper consent banner in place first: one that asks before anything is set, and that lets you decline. We will not quietly start tracking people.
