These terms cover the use of this website. They are not the terms for building work. That is a separate agreement we give you in writing before any job starts, and nothing on this website changes it.

Who runs this site

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Quotes and prices are not offers

Nothing on this website is an offer to carry out work at a particular price. Any prices, service descriptions or timescales you see here are general information only.

Submitting the quote form is a request for us to get in touch. It does not create a contract and does not oblige us to take on the work. A binding agreement comes into being only when we have given you a written quotation for your specific job and you have accepted it. Quotations are based on what we are told and on what we can see on a site visit; if conditions turn out to be different once work begins, such as ground conditions, hidden structural problems or materials that are not what they appeared to be, the price may need to change. We will tell you before doing anything extra.

Accuracy of the information here

We keep this site up to date as best we can, but we do not promise that everything on it is complete, current or free of errors. Descriptions of our services are there to give you a general idea of what we do, not to form part of any contract.

Nothing on this site is professional advice. Brickwork and masonry decisions depend on the particular building, and you should not act on general information here without getting advice for your own property. Where work affects structure, party walls, listed buildings or a conservation area, you may need building control approval, planning permission, a structural engineer or a party wall surveyor. Obtaining those is the property owner's responsibility unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Photographs of our work

The photographs in the gallery show projects we have completed. They are examples of our workmanship, not a promise that your job will look identical. Brick type, mortar colour, weathering, existing structures and the age of a building all affect the finished result. Where a photograph shows a property, it is included with the owner's permission and the location is not identified.

Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, photographs, the logo, the design and the code, belongs to Technical Brickwork Ltd or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright.

You may:

• View the site and print or download pages for your own use, for example to keep a record of our services.
• Link to our home page, as long as it is fair and does not suggest an endorsement or connection that does not exist.

You may not, without our written permission:

• Copy our photographs or text for use on another website, listing or advertisement.
• Present our completed work as your own or as the work of another company.
• Use our name or logo in a way that suggests we are connected to your business.
• Frame the site within another site, or systematically scrape or copy its content.

Using the site properly

Please use this site only for genuine enquiries. You must not submit false details or another person's details, use the quote form to send spam or abusive content, attempt to gain access to the admin area or any part of the site that is not public, or do anything intended to disrupt or damage the site or the servers it runs on. Misuse of a computer system in these ways is a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we will report it.

Links to other websites

Where we link to another website, it is because we think it is useful. The Information Commissioner's Office is one example. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own risk.

Availability

We do not guarantee the website will always be available or uninterrupted. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice. If you need to reach us urgently, phone +44 743 803 1478 rather than relying on the form.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Subject to that, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on the information on it, including loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data, to the extent the law allows. Liability for building work we actually carry out is dealt with in the contract for that work and in our insurance, not here.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you use the site is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own country.
